Mitchell is a Westin Research Fellow at the International Association of Privacy Professionals where he focuses his research on the intersection of data and privacy. He earned a law degree from the University of Minnesota Law School, and he holds a M.S. in Business Analytics and an undergraduate degree from the university as well. He is CIPP/E and CIPP/US certified.
While in law school, Mitchell was the lead managing editor for Vol. 102 of the Minnesota Law Review and a research assistant for Prof. Bill McGeveran. He also served as president for the law school’s business law association.
He is active in the Minneapolis-St. Paul analytics community and is a board member for StarEightyTwo, an organization dedicated to helping individuals learn and share analytics skills while creating positive change for nonprofits, businesses, and the public sector.
